Computer vision syndrome is a very common problem detected among the people working on computers. Children working on computers at home or school as well as the working people related to computer are its targets. This happens due to prolonged computer usage which may stress you eyes and result in impaired vision. The main reason for computer vision syndrome to be caused is the different reaction of the eyes and brain to the words on screen than those on paper. You’ll notice that a person with healthy eyes will not face problem in focusing on black letters printed on paper than those with hampered vision. But our eyes feel difficulty in focusing on the characters on the computer screen as these are bright at the centre and do not have well defined edges. So they tend to drift to the resting point of accommodation also known as RPA. This continuous drifting of eyes leads to staring and tiring them as therefore hampering the eyesight. Symptoms of computer vision syndrome: You may not even have an idea of being affected by computer vision syndrome. Here are a few symptoms by which you can judge your eyes and of your little ones too. -	You’ll feel slight headache all the time. -	You’ll face loss of focus while working on computer screen. -	You’ll feel your eyes tired always with a sensation of burning. -	You neck and shoulders may pain too. -	You may notice double vision i. e. seeing two similar objects mingling in each other. -	Your vision may also get blurred a bit. How to prevent computer vision syndrome : If you are informed well about eyes related problems while working on computer you should take some preventive measures right from the beginning. – You can arrange your work environment for better ergonomics. This will reduce your eye strain and various other visionary difficulties related to computer vision syndrome. – A good and reliable pair of computer glasses may also prevent you from the predicted sight problems. It may also help you see well. But it may be bought after the proper eyesight checkup by a doctor. He may diagnose your eyesight and also determine the distance between you and your computer before recommending computer eyeglasses to you. This will surely allow you work more efficiently and comfortably. -	Sitting at a right distance from the screen is also a good preventive measure against computer vision syndrome. – Even glare screen filters may help you to some extent. But if you’re already a computer vision syndrome victim this will be of no use. These do not solve vision related problems but can only help you as a preventive method beforehand. Glare screen filters only affect glare from the computer screen. – You may also go for an anti reflective coating on your computer eyeglasses to prevent computer vision syndrome. This blocks glare and reflections on the rare and front of the glass lenses which may intervene focusing. – A 20-20-20 rule works well to help you relieve from computer vision syndrome. This means to focus the eyes for 20 seconds on an object kept 20 feet away every 20 minutes of your sitting at computer. So, if you are a regular user of computer keep in mind all the computer vision syndrome preventive measure to keep your eyes safe and healthy.

Most PC users experience slow boot-up in their computers at some point of time after they first purchased their beloved PCs. This is understandable considering the complexity and the great number of tasks computers does on a daily basis. In addition to that, computers are usually exposed to a variety of harmful elements, such as dust, heat, cold, and moisture. Like majority of current technology, computers are not perpetually functioning and will not be in good shape forever. However, this does not mean that there is nothing you can do to fix your computer when your computer boots slow. There are several ways to improve your computer’s functionality – and you can do most of the solutions for free. The first on your list of things to do is to clean your registry. As your computer system’s command center, your registry is prone to damage caused by the frequent installing and uninstalling of software and the existence of too many files, including unused and unnecessary programs or applications. Your computer boots slow most probably because of this, and so you need to perform a registry cleanup. To help you do this, you can find several registry cleaner software packages out there. These packages can keep your registry free from error and resulting problems, allowing your computer to boot faster. Since a registry cleanup entails great attention to detail and carries the risk of adversely affecting your system, it is highly suggested that you go for a top-rated registry cleaner software package from the trusted names in the industry. When your computer boots slow, a one-time registry cleanup is not enough to make it boot faster all the time. Of course, you need to perform registry cleanups on a regular basis. It is your obligation as a responsible PC owner to schedule registry scans and to stick to that schedule. Registry cleaner software packages these days normally offer a scheduling feature. Use this feature to eliminate malware, spyware, and other viruses and negative elements from your computer from time to time. Remember, in the age of technology, you no longer have to perform tedious manual work such as scanning your registry and scheduling registry cleanups. Make the most out of your choice of registry cleaner software package by utilizing its most helpful features. When your computer boots slow, you (with the aid of smart choices) have the power to make it run fast again. Since your computer registry is vital to your computer’s effectiveness and efficiency, it is only wise for you to back it up. A registry cleanup, when not done the right way, may harm your computer registry for good. To avoid being affected by irreversible damage, back up your computer registry regularly. Ideally, you should back up your computer registry every time you install or uninstall software. You should also back up your computer registry every time you perform a registry cleanup so your computer boots slow no longer.

If you have a computer and you feel it is not running as fast as it used to or as fast as it should, you would know how frustrating it can sometimes be, but the good thing though is that there are several ways to make your computer run faster and this article would show you some of them. The first way to make your computer work faster is to delete files and folders that you no longer use or that are very large which you do not need and the reason why is because the files take space on your computer and affects its speed. The reason why this method is good is because it is very easy to do and does not take much time to do. The not so good thing about this method is that it might not make your computer faster as there are a lot of other issues that might be affecting the speed of your computer. You should also try not to run too many programs at a time as it puts a lot of pressure on your computer and can make it run slowly. You can also make your computer work better by performing regular maintenance of your computer and taking proper care of your computer and this includes things like emptying your recycle bin regularly, clearing cookies once in a while and deleting temporary files. You can do this daily, weekly or monthly depending on the age of your computer and how often you use your computer. You can also use some software to set this process up automatically, for instance internet explorer allows you to choose how often you would like it to delete cookies from your computer. Another good way to make your computer run faster is by using registry cleaners to clean your computer. Registry cleaners usually help to remove corrupt registry files and invalid entries which make your computer run slow. There are a lot of them available on the internet and most of them usually allow you to download it for free for it to scan your computer. The good thing about registry cleaners is that most of them allow you to do a free scan of your computer before you actually have to buy it. The not so good thing about registry cleaners is that most of them usually require you to pay before they actually help to remove any problems you might be having with your computer, it is only the scan that is feeAll in all, if you are having problems with your computer speed, by deleting things which you no longer need or which take up a lot of space by taking good care of your computer you should be able to make it run faster. But if you do this and you are still not able to make it work faster then you might want to get a new computer or take it to a licensed professional to see what can be done for your computer

With the number of websites offering information on how to fix computer problems, it’s easy to conclude that many people are searching for information on how to make their computer keep its top speed performance. Indeed, many people are complaining that their computer starts slow. There could be several reasons for this problem and, thankfully, there are also several solutions. All you need to do is to perform the necessary operations and your computer will be back in good shape. When people say that their computer starts slow, their frustration can hardly be hidden. In today’s world where everyone moves quickly and everything needs to be done pronto, it really can get quite frustrating to wait for the computer to start up and finally get things going. This is especially so when a computer has been around for a long time and its owner has failed to perform any maintenance work on it. If you’re guilty of this, then this article is for you. Keep reading to learn how to fix your computer’s problems. One of the very first things you should do when you notice that your computer starts slow is to defrag it. Defragmentation is a process that often leaves computer owners hesitant; they question their capacity to do such a thing. If you think you’re technologically challenged, there’s no need to fret at all. You can defrag your computer in a jiffy and with no help from experts or software packages. The process is quite easy – as long as you can follow directions. What you need to do is to go to Start and click on Accessories. From there, click on Tools and that’s where you’ll find the options for defragging your computer, such as Disk Defragmentation and others. If you are wondering what defragmentation does and why it’s so important in solving your computer’s speed problem: When your computer starts slow, it means your computer system is having difficulty in organizing its contents or files. When you finally decide to defrag your computer, the amount of fragmentation in your computer’s file systems is greatly reduced. As a consequence, the content of the disk becomes more organized and the space more free. Because of the absence of clutter, your computer can then work faster again and you won’t have to get frustrated over having to wait for it to start. Experts say that defragging your computer is the easiest way to solve your computer’s speed problems; it’s the number one computer startup solution. People usually panic when their computer starts slow. They either think that there computer has been bugged by a serious virus and can no longer be saved or that they should buy the latest software package for computer cleanup and repair right away. While it can get stressful worrying about why your computer starts slow, there is something you can do about it that doesn’t require a great deal of money and effort.

The performance of your computer can make or unmake your day. Get a new computer and experience a stress-free use, but as soon as your computer gets a few years under its belt, it is bound to slow down. This marked slowdown comes with age and with the accumulation of unwanted programs. When it happens, you have to make sure that all the right steps are taken. It’s easy to find the right fix. Slow computer or a poorly performing computer can be readily addressed by taking in the suggestions of most techie people and technical support representatives out there. Listed here are some of the steps that can offer you the fix slow computer should undergo a defragging. You can use the defragmentation tool that is on your computer. Why use defragging as a way to fix slow computer? Just remember that the hard drive of the computer has hundreds of sectors and these are then broken into clusters and more allocations. And when the computer used the files and accessed, these files are often not returned to their respective sectors and allocations. With that, the hard drive gets ‘fragmented’. You can use this tool by clicking on the Start bar and by selecting Programs. Check Accessories, System Tools and finally select the Defragmentation Tool. Using this tool may not bring about change in seconds since it takes several hours to properly defrag the computer’s hard drive. But the time you spent waiting will be all worth it since the resulting gain will be a speedier computer. To fix slow computers you need also to use the registry programs in order to fix programs. Registry is the term that is used to refer to the database that contains all the settings and the options for the 32 bit versions of many Microsoft Windows operating systems. Whatever changes you made on the file associations, system policies or the Control Panel systems, these will then be reflected on the computer’s registry. When a registry error occur then the files or the data will no longer be accessible. If two or more registry errors happen, then a registry fix is suggested. This kind of fix will get the data back and can be made accessible. And this can also allow the computer to respond in a faster manner as well. A slow computer is also a function of the memory available on the computer. So if you want to improve the overall speed of the pc, then adding more RAM can do the trick. Increasing the available RAM or the random access memory is an important investment that you can make on your computer. If browsing some internet sites is the problem, then you need to access the Internet Tools on the browser that you are using. Just clear the Internet cache and the temporary internet files and make sure that you delete the files. Scan for viruses as well and for Trojans. Most of the time, viruses are the ones that help slows down the computer. Knowing these important steps will help you understand a slow computer and allows you to fix slow computer.

Computers are here permanently and will pretty much guide the future of society. This fact mandates that children learn early to make effective use of a computer. Nursery and Primary Schoolers and Computer Education Computer education is important even in small countries like Cameroon and a recent 2 day seminar proved this. Attending this seminar were school officials from 10 of Cameroon’s provinces who voted to implement an extensive communication and information technology program for their nursery and primary school students. This initiative was begun because educator’s began to realize that their children could not be productive as adults unless they were give the tools they needed to keep up with the computer-related technologies that now drive today’s world. Education topics will now include training on the different parts of a computer along with relavent software and how it is used. Along the way, children will be encouraged to adopt the same method of information filtration that computers use so effectively. Cameroon schools are facing one big problem with this new initiative and that is a lack of computers. They simply do not have enough to get through the daily educational process let alone a new extensive computer training program. It has been decided that, until new computers can be purchased, the younger children will be taught about computers using only pictures and the actual computers will be reserved for the older children. All teachers, however, will be required to take a extensive computer technology training program. Scottish experts have spent time studying video games and how they affect a child once they enter school. Their studies have shown that, especially mathematically, a child’s learning abilities are improved significantly by playing video games regularly. This study consisted of 32 different schools and was conducted by Learning and Teaching Scotland. The study required the students that participated to play a video game, Nintendo DS, for a specific period of time each day for the duration of the experiment. This study was the second and a follow up to the one previous done in Dundee. Officials wanted to determine if the study would show any different or improved results. At each school, the children were divided into two different groups. One group was allowed a certain amount of time each day to play video games. The other group were forbidden from any video game playing during the experiment. At the end of the experimental time, a test was given to all students to see how much they had progressed during that time. All of the children improved their scores, but the children who were allowed to play the video games showed a much higher rate of learning than did the one who were forbidden to play. The children who played the video games were also able to complete their tests much quicker than the ones who did not play. These results suggest that computer training through the use of video games may have more value than had been previously assigned. Children are increasingly becoming better educated in personal computers and other components. This computer training will be very effective in preparing them to live in a mainly computer driven society. Who knows what kind of invention our children will be able to develop with their extensive knowledge of computers.

It is important to always keep your computer free from virus. Computer virus is much like a disease. When your computer infected virus, it will affect your computer operation negatively. If you found it early, you still might be able to clear it smoothly. But, if you found it too late, then it might be a disaster to you. It will make your computer unable to operate totally and you have to format your computer causing you lose all the important data stored in the computer. A good sign that indicates your computer might be infected by virus is slow in task-processing. You need to stay alert when encounter this situation as there are computer viruses created to slow down your computer processing power. Another sign is when some of the files in the operation system were corrupted suddenly. An even worst case is when you can’t directly browse into your disk drive. You will have to right click and then select ‘open’ to get into your disk drive. Also, if you are a frequent computer users, you may have experienced computer auto-restart quite often. Usually the computer will pop up a message informing you that the computer will shut down itself in the next 60 seconds. In this case, the computer probably has infected by a virus called W32. Blaster. Worms. The easiest method to find out whether viruses have gone into your computer is obviously by installing an antivirus software. The strong and advance antivirus software will notify immediately when your computer just infected by a virus, letting your take the necessary action instantly. However, there are powerful computer viruses created to shut down your antivirus software in order to get into your computer without a single notification from your antivirus software to you. There are also certain types of viruses that can mislead your antivirus software and make the software treats the virus as an authorized program. So, it is necessary to take 5 to 10 seconds everyday looking at your computer task manager. Getting your task manager opened is pretty easy; just press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. When the task manager shows up, you can see the activity running and CPU usage level in the ‘Process Tab’. If you see more than 50% of CPU resources is being occupied by unknown program, then possibly the computer has been infected by virus. Another method you can use to detect virus is by checking for unidentified. exe file appear in the computer system. Those unidentified. exe files are actually developed to trick you by replicating itself to be similar to some of the file in your computer. For instance, lets say you have a file name ?Book? in your ?My Computer? folder. One day when you go to your ?My Computer? folder again to open the ?Book? file but you notice that there is another similar file named Book but with dot exe like Book. exe. That actually is a virus that will be destroying your computer system soon. So, always spend some time to look around your folders and files, see whether there is any unidentified. exe file. If you found one, take action immediately to remove it.

If your answer is yes, then you are probably one of the many computer owners out there who have or do not perform maintenance works on their PC. Computers, like the humans who have built them, are prone to error. Through time, a computer’s performance will gradually slow down, but with the proper care and maintenance, a computer’s life will remain robust and healthy. Many PC users take maintenance tips for granted, not knowing that these are the very things that can solve their computer’s speed problems. Maintenance tips can keep your computer perform smoothly so you won’t have to wonder why is your computer very slow. Your computer is exposed to a number of harsh elements on a regular basis, including heat, dust, and moisture – all of which can cause its deterioration and make your computer very slow. The first thing you need to be mindful of is the way you turn off and turn on your computer. You should turn off your computer only after Windows has properly shut down; otherwise, you’ll cause adverse effects to your hard drive. When you turn on your computer, avoid entering commands until Windows has fully started up; otherwise, you’ll cause your computer to slow down. In connection with power, it is strongly suggested that you protect your computer from critical power outages and high and low voltage occurrences by using an uninterruptible power supply or UPS. A UPS functions better than a surge protector; it will help your computer hurdle through power disasters of any kind and keep it away from crashes that can turn a computer very slow. Loss or cutting of power may lead to the loss of important data or the impossible recovery of files. Another way to protect yourself from these unfortunate events is by performing back up every time. Most homes have UPS; you just need to search your house for one that you can use. One of the most common reasons that make a computer very slow is the presence of viruses, malware, and spyware, which are all mortal enemies of your computer system. It is thus very important that you scan your computer for these harmful elements on a regular basis and defrag your computer once in a while. Run a free yet tried and tested anti-virus, anti-malware, and anti-spyware removal software package. Keeping your registry clean all the time is one of the secrets in maintaining your computer’s good speed. Since your registry functions as the main command processor of the entire computer system, it only follows that it will suffer from performance problems when it becomes too cramped or full. Use a free reliable registry cleanup software package to get your registry organized once again and to free up space on your memory. Not only can lack of memory space make a computer very slow, it also causes runtime errors. Doing maintenance work on your computer is easier than most PC users think. Moreover, it’s the best and cheapest way to prevent your computer from running very slow.
